Isn't it a development of 3Par, not a completely new system? I wonder if 3Par integration works with it...

There will be no shippment of these systems before August. We are in close contact with HPE about this.
One discussion point is the "as service" selling model and the limited access of customer accounts. We are on it and will share news whenver we had a chance to test it.

Just want to follow up and announce that we have completed testing with HPE in their lab and that we will support Primera with our upcoming v10.
Details: You can use our HPE 3PAR storage wizard, but as the default management port changed from 8080 to 443 you have to type the correct port into the wizard.

Just touching on this again. We have a number of Veeam 9.5U4 customers in NZ that are in the final stages of purchasing the HPE Primera platform and have asked if we will release a V9.5 plugin, as they would like the integrated functionality before the end of the year, which I assume will be before a V10 release.

HPE NZ have also raised this with me to see if this could be released sooner rather than later?

There is no earlier release vehicle available, v10 is the immediate next release. You can start to backup those workloads over our VMware backup environment and plan snapshots natively or with help of HPE RMC. Then when v10 is out you can switch to it for orchestrating everything in one place.

Does not work...even with changing the port as mentioned above. Fingerprint validation failed.

This is correct. Only v10 will support Primera. v10 will be released in the next few weeks.
