Upgrading the version of VAW that's pushed via VBR

Post by AlexB82 »

We've bought and applied licences to manage and deploy the jobs through VBR (finally), rather than the free version on each client. When adding the existing clients into managed job via the VBR console, a lot of them are throwing up errors that the version of VAW on the client is newer than the version trying to be pushed by VBR. Is there a way to update client that VBR tries to install on the managed clients, or would that require an update to VBR itself? We're on 9.5 U3, and can't update to U4 just yet.

At the moment it's installing 2.1, ideally we want 2.2 (which is already installed, so won't throw the error).

Cheers !!

You should update VBR itself if you want to deploy a newer version of the Agent.
The backup Agent 2.2 was a part of Veeam B&R 9.5 U3a. Thanks!
