how can create permissions for install veeamone oon external database

how can install veeamone on external microsoft sql server

I have just create a database but could not find permissions that mentioned in your documents what do I had to do ? would you please help me how can create them ?

but now due installation show error

There is no need to create the database manually, I would even say this is extremely difficult. Veeam ONE creates the DB automatically during the installation and allows you to choose your existing SQL server for this purpose. The only thing you have to care about is the aforementioned permissions. I would recommend using this automatic option built into the setup since it significantly simplifies the process. Put simply, just stick with the User Guide recommendations.

In certain situations (I strongly believe it's not your case, just mentioning it here for other community members), if you would like to create a new DB but do not have an account with the required permissions you can use a special script, then configure Veeam ONE to use this newly created DB instance.

but I don't want embeded or sql express I want use external database thus
As I know for use external database had to create database with specific permissions such as follow document

The easiest way to use your external SQL server is to specify it during the setup as I mentioned above. Veeam ONE will take care of the rest. Manual DB creation is not necessary in cases like yours.

My sql server is on this server (veeamOne server) but if i select each of those options :
1- Install new instance of sql .....
2- use existing instance ..........

it will be use sql express and will not install on my external database (microsoft sql server 2017) that has been resided and installed on veeamOne server

This is strange you said it is not necessary create database manually. but if I don't create a database in microsoft sql server 2017 how can detect in which database had to install ?

Hi Baber,

You simply specify SQL server instance that you already have, then choose a database name and Veeam ONE will create this database on your existing SQL server automatically during the installation (if the specified user has all the required permissions of course). Please check the guide in my above post (bullet #2) - it explains this process in details.
