Backup jobs not running on the schedule

Post by chapman.keith »

HI there,

We are experiencing a problem where the backup jobs are listed as scheduled and enabled, but will not run when they are scheduled.

They will run successfully if started Manually.

System time is correct.

Running 5.0.1.198 64bit on server 2008r2 backing up off of ESXi 4.1 hosts.

I have rebooted the backup server, but not the VCenter server. THe vmware side seems to be working perfectly fine.

I can't seem to find any logs that would explain why the jobs aren't starting.

Anyone have any ideas where to start looking?

Hi Keith, easiest would be to just open a case with our technical support and have then investigate this for you. Thanks.

Hi Keith,

I'm experiencing the same problem. Did you get a workable solution to this?

OK, so this is the perfect example why we delete topics about technical issues if the original poster does not include support case ID (which is a requirement, as explained when you click New Topic). Most people are quick to post an issue, but never come back to update topics with the resolution, and we cannot check on resolution either because of not knowing support case ID. As a result, these kind of topics bring zero value to the community...

Veaam says it is a small sql bug.

i hope this bug wil be fixed on the next release, because today again we have some jobs who didn't run.
On this point Veeam backup is not 99% safe/reliable for us.

5141445, customer had similar problem and requested I should give a temporary advice in this thread, until we figure this out... in our case probably some third-party software/update interfered with Veeam installation, and he had to repair Veeam installation, since then the problem was gone.

Veeam v5 Backup Issue

Post by woodwars »

[merged]

Has anyone seen an issue with the schedule backups not running but the result shows success and the date for the next run is changed for the day. But when you open a job it dose not show the lastest backup?
