Windows 2008 R2 VMware tools VSS not supported

Hi,
We are a VM hosting provider and can not use veeam VSS due to firewalls.(note: please make veeam firewall friendly i.e. Nat and port forwarding smart) We use the VMware tools VSS.
When will Veeam support Windows 2008 R2 VMware tools VSS quiescence?

I know you don't give times for your major releases, but in a Service Provider environment this is an absolute nightmare (customers don't like giving admin credentials to us for image aware backups and crash consistent only is poor) - is there any chance of a patch to resolve this?

"Patch" has been available for some time now. This has nothing to deal with our code - basically, this requires updating vStorage API components in your Veeam Backup install. Our support can guide you through that. If there are any issues, tell them to ask me. Thanks.

Just wanted to add that updating vStorage API component on v5 brakes hot add (aka Virtual Appliance) backup mode. This is addressed in v6, but for now, if you decide to go this path, you would have to use another processing mode. Thanks.
