Tableau 3 node RAC to standalone replication

Post by roshanbi »

Tableau 2019.2
RHEL 7.4
3 node RAC Tableau 2019.2

Hello Team,

The current architecture for Tableau 2019.2 is attached.

I have replicated one node to another site using VEEAM.

Unfortunately when I start the DR server, I see the services on node6 on source being stopped.

To note that IP on DR site is different from source node6. Only hostname is same.

Kindly advise how to make the services start on DR site without impacting the source.

Regards,

Roshan

Hello,

I'd suggest checking this behavior with the application vendor. From what I'm reading it seems that Tableau does not officially support external replication solutions. Do you have any information that they officially support native vSphere snapshots or Hyper-V checkpoints?

Also, what hypervisor are you running?

Thanks
