Indexing Exclusion Definition Wildcard

Post by djustins »

Hello All,

The documentation does not specify if you can use wildcards in defining exclusions during indexing. I assumed it would be similar to backing up data definition, that does not seem to work. In our case, we want indexing to ignore DFSR symlinks, for example:

Code: Select all

[m:\ccs\DfsrPrivate]. Substitute: [\??\M:\System Volume Information\DFSR\Private\{265715B4-CB36-4E7D-9D2C-75DE2FCDF625}-{67D3C4D6-FF8C-43BC-9124-7BD6F129AA14}].
Anyone know how to do this? Indexing is hanging on these type of files because they're ephemeral.

Please help.

Hi Justin,

There is no built-in way to exclude these symlinks, but I've found a similar case where our engineer was able to resolve this. Please contact our support team and refer to this case 02523986 for the possible solution.

Thanks!
