copying Windows to a different machine

Post by elena »

Hi,

is it possible to "copy" the system from one PC to another using Veeam Agent for Windows? I have a freshly installed Windows with a number of programs and I want to make an image of the current state, so that I can skip the tedious installation process in the future.

I read that "recovering" a standard windows image on almost-identical PC should be no problem, but the more different new machine is, the harder it gets. Is it true? Or at least - is it true for veeam tools too?

Best,
Elena

Hi Elena,

Welcome to Veeam Community Forums!

This is not an issue for VAW. Please take a look at bare-metal recovery.

Thanks
