Re: Recovery Media how to restore entire Hyper-V
hi Wishr,
My Veeam backup exec server is gone. Before that I have backup the file.
2 physical server with running Hyper-V.
now I want to restore entire VM using Recovery Media.
As I know using for the recovery media is can detect the 2 physical server backup.
but the VM is need using the Veeam Backup Software to restore
is that possible I just only using the recovery media to restore the VM?

Re: Recovery Media how to restore entire Hyper-V
Thanks.
You can mount the created ISO image to a VM and perform a bare-metal restore. If a desired backup file is stored on the ISO image choose Local Storage, if it's stored on a network share choose Network Storage. Note that you need a backup of a VM to be created by Managed or Standalone Veeam Agent for Windows. If you only have a VM backup that has been created using VM backup functionality of Veeam Backup & Replication you will not be able to perform BMR from it.
Check this guide, especially Specify Backup Location section, and that article for details.
If your Backup Server has gone you may want to install it from scratch, then restore its configuration using configuration backup restore, and then restore the desired VM, as usual, using Backup & Replication.
Hope it helps!
