Exchange | several times a day to get more restore points

Post by ocico »

hi guys,

my customer wants to backup his EXO mailboxes several time a day. Does someone has experience with that?
I thought that its not just a critical request, because of every job is a incremental job (except the first one).

Can I control that in my proxy configuration, by adjusting the number of threads (default is 64), or by adjusting the network bandwidth?

What do you think about this?
Thank you.

Backing up the mailbox several times a day is simple. You create a job and adjust the policy. You are indeed right that those are incremental so it should not be a big issue. However, most likely the total size will be a bit bigger as more "changes" will be caught, depending on what the EXO does with his mailbox.

No need to play with the number of threads or network bandwidth adjustments.
