Hi,
We are testing the V4 Beta and we are attempting to restore an entire Sharepoint Site. The site content restores but none of the members are added to the site. Before attempting the restore we are deleting the Sharepoint site and associated Office 365 group and also removing from the Sharepoint site from deleted sites and the Group from Deleted groups. We are getting the following error when restoring:
Infrastructure Team Failed to add user c:0o.c|federateddirectoryclaimprovider|103f2882-6c8d-4e55-be4d-4f10d9706ad8 to group Infrastructure Team Members. To me it appears the error above is from VEEAM attempting to add the users to the Office 365 group. 874c01da-3d14-41cf-b882-2dadbc9056c2 is the Group ObjectID of the Office 365 group prior to me deleting it. So when VEEAM restores the Office 365 group it will get a new ObjectID as I don't believe Azure is going to allow VEEAM to assign a specific Object ID. Instead of VEEAM adding the users to that new ObjectID it is attempting to hit the old one.
Has anybody ran into this before with V3 or V4?
Thanks!

Re: Sharepoint Site Restore Issue in V4
Can you provide us the full logs so this can be checked?

Hi eritchie,
First: Welcome to the forums
Second: As Niels asked, please DM us the logs. I do believe you are correct in your investigation. While we can do restores, we cannot restore the office 365 group (that is actually part of Azure Active Directory and not of O365, even though it is called an O365 group). So I think that is the issue that you are experiencing. But to be sure, we would like to check the logs.

Re: Sharepoint Site Restore Issue in V4
This is a known limitation relevant for both the current version 3.0 and the upcoming 4.0:
SharePoint team site restore does not preserve team site owner, nor Office 365 Group members are restored.
