Veeam Community Edition - Restore from Nimble Snapshot

Have a customer who we are working at getting to purchase Veeam.
First step is the community free edition.

They have a Nimble SAN today.
Looking at the comparison chart, under restore we see "Veeam Explorer for Storage Snapshots"

I for the life of me cannot figure out how to get this configured.
I know if you have a licensed Veeam install there is a "Storage Infrastructure" tab. But this does not appear to be available in the free edition.

This configuration is a Hyper-V configuration. I saw some people saying that you might need to add a ESXI host or vCenter to get the tab to show up. In this case we do not have either. We have added the HyperV cluster but that didnt do the trick.


Any thoughts?

that's the point. Storage snapshot integration is only available for VMware.

So Veeam Explorer for storage snapshots only supports VMware?
You cannot use Veeam Explorer if it is a HyperV config?

correct. VMware only for Explorer for Storage snapshots
