SOBR change from data locality to performance

I have a SOBR with 3 extents and i currently have data locality selected for the placement policy. I would like to switch to Performance. Can this be done on the fly? and will veeam overtime balance my extents?

Yes, you can switch on the fly. And yes, balancing will happen naturally over time, as retention removes older backups while new backups are placed according to the Performance policy (Veeam will not actively rebalance). Thanks!
