new announcement?
I just received an email from Veeam announcing "Native backup for Amazon EC2 instances is here!". What's the difference between this and the acquisition of N2WS and its integration into B&R?

Hi Anthony,
I skimmed through that blog post but it didn't make it clear to me what's the difference between this announcement and the N2WS announcement in early 2018?
Regards, George.

This new announcement and product is our new way of working with AWS. There is no link to N2W at all.

Re: new announcement?
Hi George,
This product is indeed not connected to N2WS in any way. It is Veeam's in-house developed technology for native protection of EC2 instances.
Brgds,
Mike

Re: new announcement?
Hi,
as we are using N2WS will there be any way to migrate from CPM to Veeam backup? Its looks pretty similar (reports UI) to CPM one?
If this is completely different solution probably no. Will then CPM be still developed or terminated because those will be 2 similar solutions?

Re: new announcement?
Hi Dariusz,
Migrating will not be possible I'm afraid. But as far as I know, CPM will still be developed by N2WS, which however is no longer a Veeam company.
Thanks!
