How to create disk pool

Post by fgarcia »

Hello, I am a new user of Veeam Backup and I come from using Backup Exec.
First I apologize for my English.
I expose the problem.
I have a windows server with 8 2Tb disks, the problem I have is how to assign more than one disk to the copy jobs.
I don't see how to create a disk pool to assign to a job.
And when a disc is filled and does not continue with the rest.
I know something I am doing wrong but I can't find a way to configure a disk pool.
Sorry if the answer is already in the forum, I have not found it.
Thank you.

Hi fgarcia,

If you are referring to have those disks as a target storage for your backups(called Backup Repository in Veeam), then you can use Scale-Out Backup Repository concept:
- Add F: as "Windows" type Repository
- Add H: as "Windows" type Repository
- Add ... as "Windows" type Repository
- Group them together via Scale-Out Backup Repository wizard, policy: Data Locality.
- Target your jobs to Scale-Out Backup Repository - Veeam will automatically pick best suited location for each backup job run.

Cheers!
