Veeam and Nimble Intergration

Hello,

I hope someone could answer this question for me and that is. If I enable Veeam to backup from Nimble snapshot am I taking a crash consist backup that is application awareness enable on the Nimble side or would that be a Vmware side?

Hi Vinh.

Application consistency strategy depends on Guest OS:
- with Windows, application awareness will be done on Microsoft side - before triggering Nimble snapshot, Veeam will call for guest OS Microsoft Volume Shadowcopy Service(VSS)
- with Linux, Veeam will ask VMware to perform VMware Tools Quiescence of said machine before Nimble snapshot is initiated.

How may I ensure that is truly the case, that I am taking a Veeam application consistence backup with Nimble intergration? Would it be simplying enabling application Awareness in the Veeam job and filing the guest credential.
