Hello,
Just a quick question here. If I create a backup with Veeam agent 3.0.2.1170 server edition... (latest I believe) and I enable AAIP as the server has sql installed and databases...
Now I want to restore a sql database itself... There is no B&R involved here as this is just a one off physical server at a site with a NAS that it backs up to. Do I have any possibility of restoring sql databases? Such as somehow installing the veeal sql explorer standalone somehow, or would I essentially have to use some other server and install free b&R to that, and mount the backup files which were created with the agent and perform the restore that way?
Eventually we are moving to full on B&R with this site and will just have agent managed by that and can do the restores easily, but for now we just wanted a one off deal to demonstrate Veeam vs the other software from the past.

Re: Stand alone Agent sql database restore
Hi Alabaster,
Yes, just install Veeam Backup and Replication Console locally and you will be able to run Veeam Explorer for SQL. Initiate File Level Recovery and mount SQL Database manually into Veeam Explorer(C:\VeeamFLR\).
/Cheers!
