Low Space Warnings

Post by tthomas1@ebsco.com »

Is there any way to tweak Veeam alerting to prevent low space warnings, or at least change the threshold that generates the alert? We have <1TB free on a 10TB volume, but based on patterns it will be years before we run out of space on the volume. Plus we have other alerting in place to let us know if the volume is truly low on space. I get email warnings NIGHTLY for each job indicating space is low. I don't want to get in the habit of ignoring alerts. Any suggestions?

Hello Tim,

Can you please clarify what jobs (agent jobs / VM jobs / backup copy jobs etc) end up with free space warning? Thank you in advance!

Hi @Dima P., these are three backup copy jobs for physical servers from one location to a single offsite target system. We are using Veeam Backup & Replication to run the nightly backup and the backup copy jobs.

Thanks Tim. Try to disable (or set lower value) at the General Options > Notifications > Backup storage and let us know if that helps. Cheers!
