I know that the topic is widely discussed in other posts.
Let me just ask for a clarification: while I am troubleshooting the problem, can I just configure the job to "Try application procerssing, but ignore failure" and perfotrm a backup without executing guest processing?
If the backup is performed without application processing can it damage in any way the guest VM or its components (including SQL DBs)?
In other words, from the guest VM point of view (ignoring possible limitation of the saved data) is the option "Try application procerssing, but ignore failure" safe?
