My backup copy job is merging for a very long time, so maybe I'm not using the proper backup method?
04-02-2020 04:05:21 :: Merging oldest restore point into full backup file [GFS] (46% done) 78:20:42
My setup:
I have 2 locations with a 500Mbit MPLS connection between.
Location A:
1x Synology NAS with 36TB storage as repository
2x ESXI hosts
15VM Total size: 6,76TB

Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 4
Location B:
1x Synology NAS with 22TB storage as repository
Every night (00:01) my backup job (Incremental) starts on location A. First it's backing up to my NAS on location B. This takes a couple of hours. Perfect.
After my normal backup job finishes, my backup copy job starts to make a copy from my NAS on location B to my NAS on location A. This takes a couple of hours. Perfect.
Every saturday my backup job creates a "Active full backup". When my backup copy job starts after this backup, it takes for ages to finish because of merging [GFS].

My wish is to have a fresh backup on both locations every night. Will it help If I just marked the "Read the entire restore point from source backup instead of synthesizing it from increments" checkbox?
Any sugestions?
Best regards,
