ESXi 4.1 Lock Down Support

I have a virtual vCenter server and I currently back it up with Veeam by configuring the job to backup the vCenter VM directly from the host the VM resides on. Meaning, I dont backup the VM via vCenter (obviously that doesnt work right now, at least correctly). I need to enable ESXI lock down mode, which disables root access unless you go through vCenter. Will the Veeam job still work if I enabled lock down mode w/ the current version of backup & replication 5.0.2?
