Cloudian?

Post by JHuston »

Anyone use Cloudian appliances as Veeam backup copy targets?

Looking at them as an on premise S3 target to be able to leverage the immutability feature S3 offers without having to push to AWS or Wasabi.

These shouldn't have any issues if they are configured the same way as their public offering is. Our QA team has done testing against them without any known issues.

As Niels noted, Cloudian is one of our Technology Alliance partners who is currently testing their S3 object locking implementation with our immutability feature in v10. They were one of the 1st partners to provide us with their code and it has been the most tested solution to date.

I see certain vendors/TA partners have a Veeam Ready Object badge. Is there a central location that lists all that have this badge? With all the recent feature additions around object storage, we are looking to evaluate object storage vendors and that is requirement number one for us.

I can confirm they both their on-Prem appliances and their cloud offering support the object locking and are compatible with our immutability feature.
