Best practice for backing up Azure VM with VBR v10?
Hi All,
I have Azure VM that I need to backup as image, so I wonder how can this new version assist me in backing up the Azure VM?
Is it possible to backup in Azure to Azure using VBR Veeam Backup & Replication 10.0.0.4461
or
can this be done the backup to OnPremise as well?
Thanks in advance.

Veeam will release „Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure“ later this year.

At the moment, you can use Veeam Agent todo the Backup of a Azure VM. There is no other integration.

Hi Mildur,
So when I install the Veeam Agent, it will be working like a physical server?

Yes, only way todo backups with veeam is doing an agent backup like a physical machine.
We don't have access to the infrastructure layer on Azure like on premise with your hyper v/vsphere environment.
Veeam cannot access the necessary APIs to do Image Backups at the moment.
I don't know exactly how the new product is working, when it's released. We will see
