Connecting AWS S3 Bucket
Hi all,
I'm trying to connect my V B&R community edition to an S3 Bucket, however, i'm told the credentials are invalid, and to check the logs. I've taken the User and Secret key directly from AWS.
The log simply repeats the same issue, before printing a stack trace.
Is this a common thing for Veeam?

How are you trying to connect it? As an FYI cloud tier is a feature of a Scale out repo which is part of Ent or Ent plus license.

Re: Connecting AWS S3 Bucket
Hi,
I'm simply trying to connect to the external repository, via the console interface.
I've not seen anything on the Community pages that B&R can't use AWS S3 as a storage location...
Regards,
Steve D.

External repo isnt used for what you are trying to do. External repo is used in part with our Veeam Backup for AWS / Azure products. It allows the on prem version of veeam to connect to a bucket where these products store their backups and can work with them.
For sending on prem backups to S3, that would leverage the capacity tier feature of a scale out repo which is a feature of Ent or Ent plus licensing.

Right, thanks.
So where is this limitation of Community Edition documented?
Many thanks.
