Bare metal recovery Agent for Linux Free

Post by jimmeuh »

Hi

I'm using Veeam agent for linux FREE at home to backup my server.
I'm having trouble starting the Veeam recovery media.
I've tried different versions of the ISO, but they all give the following result on screen:

Hope it's ok to post without case ID (because of free)

Anyone experience with this issue?

Thanks

Just to be complete:
I've finally got the Veeam Recovery Media to boot:
- Installed a clean Debian
- Installed the veeam deb-package
- Patched the ISO 4.0.0

The problem I'm now facing is, that the Veeam recovery media ISO won't mount any partitions where my backup files are stored.
Not on a CIFS share, nor a local ext2, ext4 or NTFS partition.
Seems like the kernel modules aren't getting loaded.
Modprobe won't load the modules because of openssl problems.

Tried patching the v3 iso as well, which resulted in the same problem.

any ideas left?

Ok got it working at last:
- Opensuse Leap install
- Installed Veeam package
- Patched latest ISO
- boot from ISO -> mount backup files -> restore succesful!

So there seem to be a problem with Debian and Ubuntu patching the ISOs.
