Good morning,
Hopefully this is an easy question to all you smart people.
I have my on-prem backups running just fine but now I have added a new repository which is an Azure Blob Storage account. The problem is that I cant seem to point a new backup job to the blob. Is that normal behavior with the Community Edition (free)?

That is correct. Support for Azure Blobs comes with Capacity Tier of Scale-Out Backup Repository starting with Enterprise edition. You don't target Job to the Blob directly, it has local Performance Tier presented by local repository and Azure offload happens automatically based on Capacity Tier settings.
