Performing inline update VeeamONE failed?

Post by albertwt »

Hi All,

I'm trying to perform the inline upgrade of VeeamONE from 9.5.3 to the latest edition VeeamONE v10.
So far the application has been uninstalled from the application server, and then the SQL database remains intact or left untouched.

Code: Select all

---------------------------
Veeam ONE Setup
---------------------------
Win32 exception occurred while executing SQL script.
Error code: 0x80004004.
Error details: Could not allocate space for object 'monitor.Event'.'PK_VwEvent' in database 'VeeamOne' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full. Create disk space by deleting unneeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Code: Select all

---------------------------
Veeam ONE Setup
---------------------------
Win32 exception occurred while executing SQL script.
Error code: 0x80004004.
Error details: The transaction log for database 'VeeamOne' is full due to 'ACTIVE_TRANSACTION'.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
However, I got these two errors and the disk space for the database always went to 0 KB in size.
how to fix this issue without extending the disk space to be more than twice of its size?

Hi Albertwt,

As troubleshooting through the forums is not possible, we always recommend contacting our technical support team directly regarding any technical issues including those related to the product upgrades. Did you have a chance to talk to our engineers? If so, could you please share your case ID?

Thanks

Well, this issue requires comprehensive assistance to be resolved. Most likely it will be required to perform manual operations with the database so the involvement of our support engineers is necessary.

Veeam ONE database might require more space during the upgrade, so I'd say the only solution here is to give as much space as needed. Alternatively, you can temporarily move the database to another server, upgrade it, and then move it back. Thanks!
