Single pane of glass?

Post by collinp »

Is this single pane of glass where the backup of Azure VM's can be done from the Backup and Replication console? If not, will it be at some point?

You can add Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure as an external repository to VBR. This way you can perform restores via VBR or use backup copy jobs. You can’t manage VBA via VBR but we have it on our roadmap (but no ETA on a date).

By saying "use backup copy jobs", do you mean copy to VBMA, or does it work both ways where you could copy back to VBR on-prem?

If you add VBA to your VBR installation, you can create a backup copy job in VBR and copy the backups to another location (could be on-premise or to a service provider). Copy to VBA is not possible.
