Has anyone tried setting up backups from a file snapshot on a VNX? I understand that the array can generate a read only snapshot and then be able to present this to Veeam for backup.
I'm trying to set this up on an old VNX I have, but I don't have a script to do so and was hoping someone might have gone through the exercise and can assist. Our local Veeam rep is looking too, but we haven't seen much out in the wild or here in the forums. It's a relatively new feature, so there hasn't been much published online either.
Any help would be great!
Thank ahead of time.

Re: VNX File Snapshot Script/Directions
Hi Kevin,
It depends how old your VNX is. Like 8 years ago VNX powerCLI module was block-storage-only, with no file-storage cmdlets at all. You can try to check navicli reference to trigger snapshots as well.
I will check with QA team for available scripts in the morning.
/Cheers!

Re: VNX File Snapshot Script/Directions
Here is VNX for File Snapshots Guide. It is quite old and should do the trick!
