seeding object storage
We've been experimenting with ways to seed SOBR offloads, but nothing I would call "supported".
Is there a supported way to seed to object storage? We are currently using minio.

Re: seeding object storage
The current supported methods are Azure Databox and AWS Snowball Edge. If you are using Minio, where are you placing that data?

Re: seeding object storage
currently we seed the data to a local minio then put the object storage into maintenance mode. Then we copy the data to a remote minio.
We manipulate the host table to trick veeam into thinking it's the same target.

Re: seeding object storage
If you've copied backups to remote minio already, you can add it as an object storage repository, and then select it as a capacity extent in SOBR wizard.
Check this User Guide section for more information about this.
Thanks!

Re: seeding object storage
Are there any instructions for seeding to AWS s3 using the snowball edge? I assume you would create local SOBR with edge as extent, create a full backup, use copy mode to edge. Next, ship edge to AWS, import Veeam files into S3 bucket. Replace snowball edge extent with S3 bucket extent in SOBR, rescan. How close am I? What am I missing here? Thank you.
