License Upgrade

Hi all,

sorry for my question, but i did not found information that i need.

So, we have buyed a Veeam Backup Starter, Edition: Standard, in November 2019. Essentially, we use this VUL for license Veeam Agent for Windows, and so we have installed 3.0.2.1170.

Can we upgrade to 4.0.0.1797 with this license?

Hi Antonio,

Yes, you can upgrade as long as your VUL subscription license is still active, but you might need to download a new license key (v10 format) from your License Management portal at my.veeam.com

Hi Natalia,

many thanks, i followed your instruction and i've got license in V10 format.

May i ask you also this: I've installed Veeam Agent for Windows on two Servers and backup on VCC. May i upgrade to version 4 without uninstall V3, and without lost settings and backup job on cloud? Or it is better uninstall, wipe backup job on cloud, and start directly with version 4?

Hi Antonio,

It's not necessary to uninstall the Agent and lose your configuration.
You can upgrade the Agent with the instruction from User Guide.
