Re: Delete backup data
Hi Frank,
Data is deleted according to the retention policy settings > Specify Retention Policy Settings. Neither job nor organization presence in the VBO UI affects this process.
Thanks!

Re: Delete backup data
1. hmm, if a customer leave us and he wants us to delete all data we have (GDPR) includeding the backups we have done in Veeam 365 with 10 year retention.
How do we do that?
Multiple customers share same repository.
2. Say the customer is not leaving us, but we have deleted the jobs and organization and as you say the backup is still in the reposotiry due to 10 year retention.
Is this data receoverable? eventually, how?

Re: Delete backup data
Hey Frank,
1. Hmmm, I would suggest to have separate repository per customer. But even in this case, you can remove the data with PowerShell, but it is a lot more work I'm afraid.
2. Yes, you can start the explorer, point it directly to the database on the repository and start restoring. It is not as clean as I like it to be, but it is possible through this procedure.

Re: Delete backup data
Indeed, you can either use PowerShell cmdlets or this tool from Niels > How to delete GDPR right-to-forget data from backup?
