VEEAM B&R 10 Secondary Management server
Hello All
Currently I am using VEEAM B&R10 for one of my DR projects where my management server is installed in DC and repository is also local disk and from local disk backup is copying to S3.
I want to have my secondary management server in my DR site i.e AWS and in sync with main management server, so whenever my DC goes down i will be able to manage my management server from AWS.
How this can be achieved ? Can anyone can help?
Thanks
Arvind Kadd

Re: VEEAM B&R 10 Secondary Management server
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
Well, if the DR site setup is completely different (e.g. when running in AWS), then I would not try to "sync" anything. Because syncing means, that you restore the configuration from your primary backup server.
The question is, whether you really want two management servers. In most setups it's easier to just have one management server in the DR site. This one also manages production.
Best regards,
Hannes

Hello Hannes
Thanks !
whether you really want two management servers.: Yes, because currently it is my on premises DC and storage where my backup is getting stored is also in DC.
So please suggest should i setup my management server in DR site only ? if my primary storage is in DC.
Thanks

Re: VEEAM B&R 10 Secondary Management server
Hello,
the idea is to have repository and proxy in your main data center (or any other roles if required).
Only the management server is in DR site.
The user guide describes it in detail. The advanced deployment and all components that can be deployed separately

Hi Arvind, do you mean migrating the current Veeam B&R server to DR? Then consider either replication with a Planned Failover or configuration backup and restore.
