v4.0c - slow enumeration of groups - when adding objects
Hello,
Scenario: I want to select a security group as object to perform backup.
The enumeration of groups is very slow, it seems to first enumerate out type: O365 Groups, and that takes like 5-10 minutes, before suddenly all distribution and security groups are shown.
Is there any way of speeding this up?

Hi Henrik,
Are you running the 4.0.1.531 build? Do you find it slower compared to the earlier versions? Approximately, how much longer does it take?
How many groups are there in your tenant?
Thanks!

Hello Polina,
Total 2103 groups where 1106 are of type Office 365.
This is a new installation running 4.0.1.531, we have no previous experience with this product.

Hi Henrik,
Then, I'm afraid, you're facing a typical concern for bigger O365 tenants. Populating the list of objects (groups, users..) takes a while and this should be expected. Overall, the timing depending on how fast Microsoft Graph responds to VBO requests, and there's not much we can do with it atm. However, we're looking to improve it in future versions.
Thanks!

Re: v4.0c - slow enumeration of groups - when adding objects
Hello Polina,
Thank you, this is not a real issue, as it just is inconvenient. As noted, it is only the O365 groups that are slow to enumerate. Once they are finished enumerated, all the other Security Groups are shown at once.
This leaves me to think that perhaps it would be possible for you to turn around the enumeration - to fetch the O365 groups last?
