The given key was not present in the dictionary message

Post by Asahi »

Hello,

I would like someone to advise me :D .

I am using VBR 9.5U4 and I am running a replication job.
In order to use the Network Mapping feature, in the replication job configuration, I set the Activated "Network remapping".

Then, in the "Network" view, I tried to select the source network.
In the Source Network, click "Browse" and select the source ESXi host as Expanded.
However, "The given key was not present in the dictionary " error was output.
This error occurred and the Distributed Switch port group you want to select was not visible.

I am using a user with permissions that reside at the following URL
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/archive/ba ... sions.html

I rescan several times the vCenter registered to Veeam, but the problem was not resolved.

I would like to know why I'm getting this error and how to solve it.
Do you need to respond to the following blogs?

Kind Regards,
Asahi,

Hi Asahi, please make sure that privileges are assigned to either the entire Datacenter or on vCenter Server level. Thanks!

Hello foggy,

Thank you for reply.
Yes,I granted permissions at the vCenter level and the problem was resolved.

In case it's difficult to grant permissions at the vCenter or DataCenter level, is there a workaround?

There's no workaround, I believe - this is a VMware requirement. Thanks!
