Rman Linux Agent and antivirus exclusions

Post by jnap »

Hello

I'm trying to use Rman linux agent V10 on a redhat 7 where kaspersky agent is also installed
when i try to backup database it seems to be a problem and kaspersky is using a lot of CPU.

Whare are the antivirus exclusions i have to set?
all the oracle directories?
also veeam agent's?

Thanks!

Hi,

Please clarify whether you are using RMAN plugin, Veeam Agent for Linux, or both?

Thanks!

Hello,

Please try to add Oracle Home and these Veeam folders to the list of exclusions:
/opt/veeam/
/tmp/veeam_plugin_logs/

Also, I recommend to ask the same question on similar forums of your AV vendor, may be you would find some useful information there.
By the way, you may take a look at this thread and check the option "Do not scan encrypted connections" as the traffic between the Plug-in and the repository is encrypted by default.

Thanks!
