Remote Manage Credentials broken

I wanted to share this with the community, as it was painful to discover.

If we change a password in VBR (Veeam 10) Manage Credentials, locally on the VBR Server, the new password works.
However, if I logon to a remote computer with the VBR Console installed and change the password, it uses some encryption key the VBR server doesn't understand and the password doesn't work.
So this problem isn't critical, as we just need to remember to change passwords on the VBR Server and not from a remote console.

I opened up a support ticket (#02084142) 3 months ago, the problem is repeatable but no solution yet.

Hi Mark, thanks for sharing. I can see that the issue is being researched by our R&D, so I cannot comment on when we will be able to address it at the moment. Let's wait for their feedback. Btw, the correct support case for this issue is #04117436. Thanks!
