Alex, yes - Veeam Backup 3.0.1 has been fully tested on ESX 3.5 Update 4 RC. We have also performed basic set of smoke tests on the RTM code yesterday and did not find any problems. Thank you.

Yes, all ESX(i) editions are supported, including free unlicensed ESXi.

What is with the Option VMware-tools Quiscence (checked) on SUSE 10 64 bit VM

i have this with Veeam Backup 3.0 :

Retrieving file list VCB error: Error: Other error encountered
: Snapshot creation failed: Custom pre-freeze script failed. An error occurred, cleaning up...

after Update on ESX3.5U4

Biker - most likely you have an existing snapshot on this VM. There is a VMware Tools issue with Linux servers that is causing this error if Linux VM has one or more snapshots. Please remove all snapshots and try again.

Update procedure is described in the Veeam Backup 3.0.1 release notes document.
