ec2 restore proxy appliance uses public ip

trying to restore to ec2...
i put the proxy appliance in a private subnet because i have a vpn between my datacenter and the vpc. I can see it get built and come online, but Veeam B&R always attempts to reach it over its automatically assigned pubic ip. This will not work because it's in a private subnet. I can successfully restore without a proxy but it takes much time.

Can VB&R be instructed to use the appliance's assigned private ip instead? Thank you.

Same problem. Would be nice to be able to explicitly tell Veeam which way to hit the Proxy either via Public or via Private.

Thank you for the KB article. It is a game changer.
After going through the KB, the proxy appliance picked up a private IP and the restore went through.
