Adding host in vCenter - Do not want Veeam to back up

Post by jeff_work »

Hoping the forum can help with this question.

We have an 8-socket license and just purchased a new server to do some vGPU testing. I will need to add this server to my vCenter environment, but it will not be part of the Veeam backup group. This is a development/Test machine that will not be backed up.

Will Veeam continue to back up the existing servers in my vSphere environment if I add a new server to vCenter in a different data center?
I read the Licensing information section of the User Guide, and the Veeam Licensing Policy, but do not get a clear answer about the implications of adding a new host that will not be backed up by Veeam

Thanks for any information.

Yes, there's no problem in doing so. Veeam licensing does not care about the number of hosts in your vSphere environment.
