transaction logs dont recycle on Exchange 2010
My VSS doesnt time out, however the transaction logs dont recycle. Its like VSS isn't telling exchange that the db is being backed up. Any one see this in their environment?

In the Veeam Backup job you need it to specify truncating the log. At the Guest Processing section for the job click the advanced options button and then click the edit button for the Exchange object. Change the transaction log to either truncate logs immediately or on a sucessful backup only.

That was it, thanks for your help. I'm assuming that SQL works the same way

Checking this truncate option will delete the transaction logs on production server?

Yes. If you are interested in details, it would be best for you to read some Microsoft documentation on Exchange backups (for example, on TechNet). This goes into great details on how Exchange VSS backups must be performed. Basically, pruning transaction logs upon successful backup is one of the mandatory steps.
