[Feature Request] Exclude App from Sharepoint Sites
Good Day
Recently installed KB2908 for VBO365. Since then, we receive the following error on some sites:
26.03.2019 03:36:14 :: Failed to process site: https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/IT/serv/FAQPage. Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource.
Before KB2908, this error did not occur.
Affected FAQPage is an APP. I've opened a case (#03482632) and the Engineer told me, that App backup is currently not supported an i should create an Feature Request, which i do now.
But the other question is, did something change about how Apps are handled in KB2908? Because as i wrote, before the update, this error did not occur.
Thanks

Re: Feature Request: Exclude App from Sharepoint Sites
Hi Andre,
That's interesting... honestly, I don't know if anything specifically related to SharePoint Apps was changed in KB2809. I'll discuss your case with the dev team.
According to our tests, SharePoint Apps backup and restore is not supported in the current version and will not be supported in 3.0. But we do plan to add this feature in the future.
Thanks

Hi Polina
Thanks for your answer. Would be interesting to know, looking forward to have some feedback from dev team.
I also talked to our SP Team if they coincidentally configured the App on those Site the same day i updated VBO365 but they did not made any changes.
Thanks

I'll share the updates if/once there're any.
Meanwhile, is this the app you're using?

Hi Ivo and welcome to the Community!
Apps are still not supported, but in the latest VBO versions, there shouldn't be failures for such sites. Which version are you currently running?
