Send Email with Veeam B&R Community Edition (Free)

Hello, is it possible to configure email settings for Veeam Backup And Replication when using free license (Community edition), got it on my homelab? But I cant seem to get it to work using office365 account.

There are no restrictions to email notifications in Community Edition. What kind of issues you are experiencing?

Unable to connect to smtp server because of invalid cred. or connection settings. Using smtp.office365.com 587 ssl authenticate using office365 account with exchange online lic. with app password, due to MFA.

Using application passwords (MFA) is not supported when configuring the SMTP server, so you should be using regular authentication.

So I cant use app password? Have to deactivate MFA on the specific acc and enable basic auth then?
