I'm a touch confused as to why the newest version here is displayed as 4.0.1.531, when 4.0.1.545 exists, and is indeed available from https://www.veeam.com/kb3222

Is there a reason for that? Is it supported?

The current major version is 4.0.1.531, while KB3222 is a patch (official and fully supported) for this version which delivers fixes and enhancements.
