Reference to case ID #04374333 - Problem while restoring Application Items related to SharePoint

Post by akdaa »

Dear everyone,

we have a problem with usage of 'Microsoft SharePoint Item Restore' while restoring from SharePoint site (it's SharePoint SharePoint Server 2010), and while we're trying to restore something on an application layer (using application items restore option), we got error message that CREATE DATABASE or ALTER DATABASE failed bacause of a limit of 10240 MB per database.

I've done some search, and found out that this limitation is only for SQL Express versions, and our is SQL server is 2012 Standard (were the database for mentioned SharePoint server storeed).

Thank you in advance for any hint and help!

BR,
Dragan

This error is returned by the SQL Server itself. You should open a support case with Microsoft to see why your Standard license is not "recognized" by the SQL Server. Thanks!

You could even use the production or QA SQL server for it.
