Feature Request: checkbox to exclude NFS mountpoints

We are looking at replacing a competing product's agents with Veeam agents. Our two main sites have over 200 agent-based Linux hosts that consume over 40% of the other backup vendor's capacity license. Unfortunately we cannot use the Veeam agents because there is no way to exclude NFS mounts from the backups. In the competing product this is just a checkbox in the backup job so it is very easy to accomodate this exclusion. Doing this in Veeam today would require excluding the NFS mounts on a per-server basis, which at our size is not practical. For the record we would need this for file level backups since we need the ability to exclude other directories on the local filesystem.

Is this already on the roadmap for a future release, and if so and idea when we may expect this feature?

What kind of job do you mean? VAL has two file-level modes

1) snapshot-less mode
2) regular mode (with a snapshot involved)

The regular one does not include network shares because snapshot cannot be taken for NFS or SMB.
The snapshot-less mode does include network shares, indeed.

If you meant the latter, then yes, it's on our roadmap already. However, until v11 is released I cannot say anything concrete about ETA.

Thanks PTide. Yes I am referring to the snpashot-less filesystem backup. We need to protect a wide variety of filesystems but still exclude the NFS mounts.

Another reason to look forward to version 11...
