Feature Request: VEM export/import Roles
Hi,
we use VEM for role based Access. If you migrate the VEM to another Server you must build all roles and their permissions again.
An Export/Import wold be excellent.

Hello,
just to make sure... you are using the same database on the new server, or a different database?
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Feature Request: VEM export/import Roles
Hi,
we have 3 VMs (VBR, VEM, DB).
VBR and VEM were moved to new servers (DB remained the old one).
After the migration we made an update from version V9u4b to V10a. After that, all roles in the UEM were gone.

Re: Feature Request: VEM export/import Roles
Hi Alexander,
Just making sure we're are on the same page: did you select to use an existing SQL instance on this step of EM installation wizard?
If yes: did you check that roles existed in a new EM instance before upgrade to 10a is started?
Thanks!

Re: Feature Request: VEM export/import Roles
Hi,
i see (in our record) we pick a new one (for VBR and VBR). Because we prepared the server with the software on one day and the migration on the next day. As I understand it, at least the VEM should be connected and migrated with the same DB.
I think thats it - the hint could have come from the partner.

Right, this data is stored in the database, so you need to preserve it if you want to keep all the settings.
