In that case, I suggest that the best way (at this point in time) is to protect the entire VBO server. This could be with VBR as a VM backup, or Veeam agent for Windows (if physical)

The good news is that VBR will detect that it is a VBO server, and offer item-level recovery with the same explorers straight from that entire VM backup.
