The correct setting for Monthly Full backup job

Hi All,

I'm still very new with veeam and not sure if I have a correct setup for Monthly Full backup job.

I need it to run on first Monday of each month.

I make a check on "create active full backups periodcally" Monthly on first Monday each month and set a schedule to run on the first Monday each month as well.

Would I get a (Full) postfix in the email every time when a monthly backup job finish with above setup ?

Hi Itsarapong, yes, the settings are correct in case you want the job to produce monthly active fulls only, without increments in-between.

I want to create a backup job with the following:
1. full backup
2. every month
3. total number of backup file 1

so, I want to automatically delete the first file after create a new full backup
how can I do that?

Hi Farhad,

I would say you need to configure
- monthly full backups (for example, on the first Monday)
- schedule monthly backups (on the same day, for example, first Monday)
- keep one restore point

That should do the trick.

I would mention though that having just a single restore point is not a recommended approach as one day you may find yourself without any valid backup at all.
