Hi,
I am working on a backup job/profile for some SAP systems running on RHEL and Oracle. Things appear to be working fine from a technical perspective (vSphere integrated backup + Guest processing for database, redo logs, and housekeeping). Veeam reports all of the backups completing successfully. However, SAP admins are not seeing DB12 events for these backups from the SAP side. Is there something that I can do to make Veeam provide visibility of these backups to SAP?
Thank you.

Re: Veeam 10 SAP on Linux+Oracle Reporting DB12 events to SAP
Hello,
I think there is no way to provide visibility of these backups because there is no direct interaction with SAP system in the described scenario.
Probably, it would make sense to consider another approach like for example to install Veeam Plug-In for Oracle RMAN and to use BR*Tools with "rman_disk" option. I believe that this white paper might be very useful, maybe some of the methods presented in the document would help you to address "DB12 event" issue.
Thanks!
